Newport is sailing into the most wonderful time of the year with the Annual Newport Illuminated Boat Parade on Friday, November 29th, at 6:00 p.m. Spectators can view the dazzling display of nautical holiday spirit from many points on the Newport waterfront as the decorated vessels circumnavigate Newport Harbor. WADK will broadcast coverage of the parade with host Martha Parker and Bruce Newbury on 1540 AM Radio at 6:00 p.m.
Newport Shipyard invites captains, crew, tenants and friends to join us at the Providence Bruins on Friday, October 25, 2024! The bus will leave from Newport Shipyard at 5:15pm.

The thirteenth annual Citizens Pell Bridge Run will be held on Sunday, October 20, 2024 at 7:15 AM. Starting in Jamestown and finishing in downtown Newport, this point-to-point event is open to runners and walkers of all ages and speeds!
The 4-mile road race and walk is the only day of the year pedestrians are permitted to cross the famous Newport Pell Bridge. 100% of net proceeds from this event will go to support local nonprofit organizations through the Rhode Island Turnpike and Bridge Foundation. Gather your friends and family for a day of fun, fitness and stunning views!
When: The race will be held on October 20, 2024 at 7:15 a.m.
Where: Race starts in Jamestown and ends in Downtown Newport.
Who: Open to runners or walkers. Must be able to do three miles in an hour pace.
Join the Shipyard team on Friday, October 11 for our Annual Pumpkin Regatta! Race across the basin in our famous "pumpkins", to raise money for this year’s selected charity, The Confetti Foundation Cost is $25/person and each team should have 4-5 members. If you want to come and enjoy food & beverage, cost is $25/person for a bracelet.
There will be several raffle items and an award given to the team with the FASTEST time and the BEST COSTUMES! Raffle drawing will take place around 6pm, you do not need to be present to win.

Organized by the Bermuda Race Foundation, the 635-mile biennial Newport Bermuda Race is the oldest regularly scheduled ocean race, and one of very few international distance races. The Bermuda Race is one of just two of the world’s regularly scheduled races held almost entirely out of sight of land, the second being the Transpac. Founded in 1906, the 53rd running of the Bermuda Race is scheduled for June 21, 2024.
A total of 220 boats entered the race in 2022. The largest fleet, 265 boats, sailed in the centennial race in 2006. The third largest, 197 boats turned out in 2008. The race attracts sailors from across North America and the globe. In 2016 sailors represented 23 different countries. 55 of the boats had at least one sailor from outside of the United States.

The first of two regattas to be on the historic America’s Cup racing waters off Newport Rhode Island, is the XS 52 SUPER SERIES Newport Trophy regatta, will take place from June 10-16 2024 at the prestigious clubhouse of the NYYC in Newport/RI.
With just a few months to go before the Vendée Globe, the round the world candidates will be competing against each other for the very last time, in a single-handed transatlantic format.
After an exhibition race under the Statue of Liberty, which promises breathtaking images of the IMOCA boats, the forty or so sailors taking part in the race will leave New York on 29 May for Les Sables d'Olonne in Vendée.
Every year the world’s most spectacular superyachts gather in Gustavia’s harbor for the prestigious St. Barths Bucket.
This three-day invitational regatta features top-notch racing and exclusive shore side social events, all in a breathtaking Caribbean setting.
Over the years, many of the world’s most notable and accomplished sailors have participated in the racing. Nonetheless, as the Bucket Regatta has evolved, the organizers have kept a tight focus on maintaining the original camaraderie and non-commercial spirit of the event. It was, and still is, an event conceived and hosted purely for the pleasure and enjoyment of the sailing superyacht owner. There is no other regatta of magnitude on the superyacht racing circuit with the same goals, and the event organizers consider themselves the stewards of a most worthwhile tradition. Every year, invitations are extended to like-minded individuals.
